LOS ANGELES, CA, United States, via ETELIGIS INC., 02/19/2015 – – Spiral Toys (OTCQB: STOY) a mobile wireless technology company, announced today a partnership with NthDegree Technologies, a semiconductor research and manufacturing company who has developed a completely unique, flexible, flat panel lighting technology.
The partnership will focus on the research and development of new ways to use NthDegree’s printed semiconductor technology in future Spiral products and mobile platforms. Additionally, it will focus on manufacturing and integrating NthDegree’s flat panel lighting with Spiral’s existing CloudPets product line.
NthDegree Technologies has pioneered a method of printing inorganic, energy-efficient, micro light-emitting diode (LED) lighting using unique semiconductor inks on a standard printing press. This low-cost, integrated manufacturing method creates lights that are flexible, low power, have low heat emissions and can be converted into many different form factors and applications.
“NthDegree’s technology is amazing,” said Spiral Toy’s president and CEO Mark Meyers. “By combining NthDegree’s technology with our mobile-connected platforms, and distribution and licensing capabilities, we are positioned to bring the next wave of innovation to the marketplace.”
“Spiral Toys has been an amazing partner; our technologies are the perfect fit for their emerging platforms,” said Neil Shotton, president and CEO at NthDegree Technologies. “Our strategic relationship with Spiral Toys gives us the ability to launch products into some great categories. We look forward to a long relationship with Spiral and expect success from both companies.”
NthDegree’s technology is expected to be used in Spiral’s CloudPets product line this year, and to be launched with franchises in 2016.
